As part of the programme dedicated to Sepharad, the Fundación Tres Culturas presents, in collaboration with the Red de Juderías de España, the exhibition 'Discover Sepharad' produced by the Red de Juderías de España. This network is a non-profit public association whose objective is to defend the urban, architectural, historical, artistic and cultural heritage of the Sephardic Jewish legacy in Spain, which has been developing cultural and tourist projects since 1995, and exchanging national and international experiences.
Through twenty images, this exhibition shows the contribution of the Jewish culture to the Spanish culture, tracing at the same time a journey through the work of the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters, whose main objective is the conservation and diffusion of the Jewish heritage, both tangible and intangible, according to Marta Puig, manager of the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters.
The Network of Jewish Quarters, created in 1995, brings together 18 cities: Ávila, Barcelona, Cáceres, Calahorra, Córdoba, Estella-Lizarra, Hervás, Jaén, León, Monforte de Lemos, Oviedo, Plasencia, Ribadavia, Segovia, Tarazona, Toledo and Tudela. At the European level, the Network is a founding member of the AEPJ (European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Heritage), which works on the development of the European Route of Jewish Heritage.
The exhibition can be visited at the headquarters of the Fundación Tres Culturas from 8 to 25 September.
