The exhibition Borders brings us closer to pain, war, despair and the desire to seek horizons of hope and future. It is made up of 40 images captured by two of the best photojournalists on the current scene, internationally recognised for the extraordinary quality of their snapshots: Manu Brabo, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, and Emilio Morenatti, winner of the World Press Photo Award.
This exhibition is shocking, hard and, at times, enormously painful and, at the same time, it opens up avenues for solidarity and the search for horizons with a future. Borders is the encounter of suffering and hope, with glimpses that cut deep and become a powerful call to be more in solidarity with those who suffer from war, misery and hunger.
This exhibition, curated by Rafael Díaz, will be inaugurated on 6 November at 8 p.m. within the framework of the 2nd TRESMED Forum, with the presence of both authors. Beforehand, the two will offer a photojournalism workshop at the Rectorate of the University of Málaga, at 18.00, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
This exhibition is organised by the Unicaja Foundation with the collaboration of the Fundación Tres Culturas, the University of Málaga and the UMA Social Council.
Technical details: From 6 November to 6 December 2018. Economic Society of Friends of the Country of Malaga.
