From 16 to 22 July 2018
Rectorate of the University of Seville
Produced and curated by the Fundación Tres Culturas, this exhibition delves into the portrait of the lives of young Moroccans who, from their daily lives as workers or students, bring the viewer closer to the effort, the personal and professional capacity of a lifestyle not very different from that of many citizens of our country.
On the one hand, this photographic account deals with the stories of different Moroccan people who decided to travel to Spain to train academically and professionally, and who are now back in Morocco to fulfil their dreams, working in their homeland. These are images that take us into the daily lives of these men and women, from businessmen to social workers, who break the stigma of an emigrant generation and show us the most hopeful future of Morocco.
And on the other hand, as if it were the reverse side of a story of return, the exhibition 'New Morocco' presents the visual story through which the spectator can approach the world of young Moroccan students who moved to Andalusia - separating from their families in their country of origin - to pursue their university studies in the south of Spain and thus continue their academic training.
