Details

  • Begin 19 May 2018
  • End 22 May 2018

The Fundación Tres Culturas is collaborating for the third year in the Festival de Música Antigua de Granada, a multidisciplinary cultural event whose main theme this year will be the Age of Discoveries.

The Early Music Festival brings together the artistic and musical heritage of the city and province of Granada, thus recovering the legacy that for so many centuries was developed in these lands. For ten days, established and new groups share their music, as well as conferences, meetings, workshops and exhibitions on various subjects related to medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music.

This year, under the theme of The Age of Discovery, he will explore, through his music, this new interconnected, global, cosmopolitan, inclusive world. An era that will forge the foundations of the modern world.

The programme proposed by the Fundación Tres Culturas includes a concert by the Ensemble Andalusí de Tetuán and the conference 'Andalusian music and its modalities', given by the professor and musicologist Amin Chachoo.

Concert by Ensemble Andalusí de Tetuán. Saturday, 19 May, 20.30 h.

Conference 'Andalusian Music and its modalities'. Monday, 21 May.
