The Tres Culturas Foundation has been supporting the International Festival ‘Back to the Roots’, whose objectives coincide in promoting intercultural dialogue as a way of approaching other cultures and as a model of coexistence. In this, its fifth edition, we are hosting the screening of the documentary of the same name in our auditorium, which illustrates the work carried out by this festival.
The International Festival ‘Back to the Roots’ in Seville is an event that takes place during the week of February 9 to 14, 2026 in the CICUS (Centro Iniciativas Culturales Universidad de Sevilla), and includes multiple activities to bring the Andalusian public closer to Africa, in general and Senegal in particular, through round tables, theater, exhibitions, dance, cinema, live music….
We will have the presence of Birane Amar, director of the festival for the presentation of the documentary.

Birane Wane, known in the music scene as One Pac, of Senegalese origin and Spanish residence, is a prominent figure in the music scene. The artist, involved in the problem brought about by the migration crisis in Africa to the Canary Islands, decides to return to Senegal to reclaim, through music, the social commitment of his homeland and his compatriots.
