The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo and the Centro de Estudios Sociales y Jurídicos Sur de Europa are organising the fourth edition of the annual congress of the Tangier GroupThis time under the title Evolution and trends in political and constitutional transformations in the Maghreb'.which will take place on 2 and 3 February at the Foundation's headquarters.
The Tangier Group is a network of experts focused on the analysis of the political processes taking place in North Africa. It is a project of academic origin that seeks an exchange of ideas, research and expertise on democratic development and institution-building in societies undergoing significant social and political change.
This network has been promoted as an international project by the Centre for Social and Legal Studies 'Southern Europe' (www.cesj.es), in collaboration with universities and other scientific and social entities in the Mediterranean, with the aim of offering precise diagnoses of the political and constitutional reforms that are taking place in this geopolitical region.
The Department of Political Science of the University of Granada, the Research Group 'Andalusia, Fundamental Rights and the European Union' and the Project 'Persistence of authoritarianism and processes of political change in North Africa and the Middle East: consequences for political regimes and the international scene' of the University of Jaén are collaborating directly in this fourth edition.
