The IV AN-MAR Andalusia Morocco Forum is a meeting place for mayors, elected officials and political and technical representatives of municipalities, regional councils and governments of Morocco and Andalusia whose main objective is to deepen the opportunities of being a cross-border area between Andalusia and Morocco and, therefore, between Europe and Africa. In this way, in addition to being a space for reflection on cooperation between Andalusian and Moroccan local governments, it incorporates a look at triangular and south-south cooperation.
This Forum is organised by the AN-MAR Federation of local authorities of Andalusia and Northern Morocco and the Andalusian Municipalities Fund for International Solidarity (FAMSI), in collaboration with the Three Cultures Foundation and in alliance with various international entities such as the Directorate General of Local Authorities (DGCL) of Morocco, United Cities and Local Governments - Africa Regional Section (UCLG-A) and Platforma.
In its fourth edition, it will also include European municipal networks, representatives of the European Commission, other Spanish cooperation partners and African municipal networks, with the aim of focusing on the role of local governments in EU-Morocco cooperation, the potential of triangular cooperation (EU-Africa) and the role of Andalusia as a bridge for decentralised cooperation.
This initiative has the support and participation of the Andalusian Regional Government, Seville City Council and Seville Provincial Council, as well as other partners such as the Huelva, Jaén and Cádiz Provincial Councils.
