  • Start: 20 June 2013
  • End: 21 June 2013

The Jordanian singer Farah Siraj, who critics have dubbed 'the Norah Jones of the Middle East', will give a concert at the Fundación Tres Culturas on 20 June (at 8.30 pm), an excellent opportunity to enjoy live the repertoire of this artist, who mixes original compositions and traditional Arab music with flamenco sounds and jazz.

With this recital, organised by Tres Culturas, the artist inaugurates a series of concerts that she will give in various Spanish cities such as Madrid (21st) and Cordoba (in the early hours of the 23rd), although the Seville concert will be free with an invitation that can be collected at the Foundation's headquarters (maximum of four invitations per person).

Known for having a prodigious voice that she modulates with great virtuosity, Farah Siraj has performed in much of Europe, the United States and the Middle East, as well as representing Jordan annually at the United Nations World Peace Day celebrations. In 2011 she released her album NomadThe album, comprised of original compositions, fusion influences of oriental music, flamenco, jazz, bossa and pop, with lyrics in Arabic, Spanish and English. The recordings were made in the Middle East, Spain and the United States, including more than 30 internationally renowned musicians from five continents. In early 2012, following the success of NomadFarah presented the world premiere of his new work, entitled The Arabian Jazz Project.
