As part of the CARPET project of the Fundación Tres Culturas, the Sevillian artist specialising in ceramics Marta de Pablos is working for a month in the Moroccan town of Assilah.
Marta works in an experimental way, using different means of expression such as installations, sound, urban art and recycled art, using different materials and techniques in her works to reach the more conceptual aspects of artistic ceramics.
In her experience in Morocco, Marta de Pablos is carrying out a project to develop a ceramic creation workshop with women, to prepare a joint work, with the ultimate aim of boosting the employability of these people by making their own ceramic products with recycled materials that can form the basis of a sustainable and fair trade economy.
The CARPET (Craft Art and People Together) project belongs to the Creative Europe programme and is financially supported by European funds for the development of activities. This initiative, led by the Fundación Tres Culturas, has other partners such as CEARTE in Portugal, CREATIVE KERNOW in the United Kingdom and APDN in Morocco.
