Since 18 June, the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat has been hosting a unique photographic exhibition on the 20 years of life of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, which will be celebrated in 2019. Made up of images from these two decades of history, accompanied by texts written in Arabic, this exhibition presents a journey through the milestones that have marked the path of this institution, in various images, along with other snapshots that serve to show the lines of action that, beyond some programmatic axes, define the spirit and guiding principles of the Foundation.
The exhibition, which will be on display in the Moroccan capital until well into the summer, is an adaptation of another one that was organised last year on the occasion of WOCMES Seville 2018 in the central Avenida de la Constitución in Seville and which, according to estimates by the Fundación Tres Culturas, was seen by more than 40,000 people.
On this occasion, some of the contents have been updated and others have been modified to create an exhibition that explores the important role of this Foundation as a unifying element between Andalusia and Morocco, as an instrument at the service of tolerance and understanding between the peoples of the Mediterranean, with special attention to the Hispano-Moroccan nature that has been present in this institution since it was established in 1999.
