As part of the cycle of concerts from home included in the project Three Cultures With You, is the turn of Saki, a young Moroccan singer and guitarist who offers us her sweet voice and the chords of her guitar.
Saki began playing traditional instruments from her homeland, such as the mandolin and the lute, before finding her best means of expression - apart from her voice - the guitar. Her first group was called The Whispers, a folk and world music duo, and after a few years she began to sing and play with the group Nuba Project, a young group that reinvents the concept of the Andalusian nuba, exploring its Mediterranean dimension and extending its aspiration of universality. Together with them, Saki gave a concert at the Fundación Tres Culturas in November 2018.
Nouba Project, formed in 2016, is composed of seven Moroccan and French members: Ikrame (mandolin), Youssef (cajon, percussion), Mohammed (darbouka), Romain (saxophone, harmonica), Sakina (voice), Hamza (lute) and Yacine (lute), who have performed at various venues such as the prestigious Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris or the Notre Dame des Anges Church, in collaboration with the Meydane Institute of the Sorbonne University.
