The Fundación Tres Culturas collaborates with the Seville European Film Festival

Once again this year, the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo reinforces its vocation to be present at the major cultural events in Seville and its commitment to the seventh art and its European projection, by collaborating with the Seville European Film Festival (SEFF). In this new edition, the Foundation will host a number of activities that highlight its role as a bridge between Europe and the Mediterranean, with a commitment to film as an artistic, educational and social tool.

Within the framework of this collaboration, the Foundation's traditional Film Tuesdays will be dedicated to Moroccan cinema, an exhibition that will allow us to discover new looks, aesthetics and contemporary stories from the neighbouring country, reinforcing the cultural ties that unite us with Morocco.

In addition, the headquarters of the Three Cultures Foundation, in the Hassan II Pavilion, will be hosting from 10 to 14 November the Universidad Pablo de Olavide course "Specialised film criticism", a micro-credential aimed at fifty students and developed in close collaboration with the SEFF. This training programme responds to the need for professionals capable of analysing and interpreting film from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective, committed to the major social debates of our time, such as identity, gender, migration and human rights, and adapted to a context of digital, ecological and cultural transformation. Through a methodology that combines critical thinking and professional practice, participants will have the opportunity to integrate into the real environment of the festival, attend screenings, round tables and meetings with programmers, critics and specialists, thus reinforcing the connection between theory and practice and enhancing their employability in the fields of cultural criticism, audiovisual mediation and film education.

To top it all off, on Saturday 15 November the Hassan II Pavilion of the Three Cultures Foundation will host the reading of the Palmarés of the Seville European Film Festival, an event that will celebrate the excellence of European cinema and will bring together professionals, artists and the public in an emblematic space that symbolises dialogue and coexistence between cultures. 

With this collaboration, the Fundación Tres Culturas reaffirms its commitment to the cultural life of the city and its role as a point of reference for cultural cooperation between Europe and the Mediterranean, supporting cinema as a universal language capable of building bridges, inspiring reflection and promoting a more open and plural society.
