The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation is participating in the opening event of CULTUR-ALH 2026 with the writer Lina Meruane, on 24 September at 20:30 at the Complejo Triunfo in Granada.
The Foundation of Three Cultures of the Mediterranean is participating, for the second consecutive year, in CULTUR-ALH. International Festival of Art, Literature and Humanities, organised by the University of Granada to mark its 5th centenary, alongside Granada City Council, Acción Cultural Española and the Instituto Cervantes. Under the slogan «avant-garde that was, avant-garde that will be», the festival brings together proposals that connect literature, art and contemporary thought.
The Foundation's participation will take place on 24 September at 20:30 at the Triunfo Complex, with the opening ceremony of the festival, «Looking without fear», starring Lina Meruane, one of the most prominent voices in contemporary Latin American literature. This Chilean writer of Palestinian descent and professor at New York University explores memory, identity, exile and diaspora in her work, building bridges between Latin America and the Arab world.
In conversation with poet and lecturer Erika Martínez, Meruane will address issues such as the body, illness and writing as spaces of knowledge, resistance and survival.
