Tres con libros takes up the reading of graphic novels, a fundamental element in explaining the complex reality of the Middle East. And it does so with Yoghurt with jam (ediciones de oriente y del mediterráneo): a tribute to a mother and her peaceful contradictions. To Lebanon and its not-so-peaceful internal clashes. Lebanese artist Lena Merhej, a key figure in Lebanese comics and an outstanding example of the presence of women in visual art in the Arab world, presents this work on Wednesday, 28 November at 7:30 p.m. (Further information)
In addition to music, gastronomy is very important in Tres con libros, turning reading into a sensory experience. Fidel Pernía's bread will transport us to Lebanon through its ingredients.
Yoghurt with jam is being read simultaneously in the Tres con Libros reading club and in the Colegio Aljarafe.
