As part of the Alcántara programme, the Foundation is organising this concert by Jihane Bougrine, an artist with her own musical style straddling jazz and soul, with added Arab influences.
Jihane loves many kinds of music and her themes are influenced by the beautiful lyrics of Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel and Brassens, which her father introduced her to, and by the love of music her mother passed on to her by listening to Oum Keltoum, Abdelhalim Hafez, Farid Al Atrach, Wadi Safi or Abdelahi Belkhayat.
In her performance at Tres Culturas, Jihane Bougrine will be accompanied by a group of musicians to recreate a melting pot of different musical worlds.
