Reading, youth and the digital world. A conversation with Irene Vallejo

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation is organising, as part of Rabat's designation as World Book Capital 2026 by UNESCO, a conversation with the prestigious Spanish writer Irene Vallejo, an international authority on the history of the book. 8th May at 11:30 in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Mohammed VI in Rabat.  

This is an open meeting for the public in which Irene Vallejo will reflect on some of the Major contemporary challenges linked to reading, addressing issues such as the need to foster a reading habit among young people, the impact of bullying – and the role of books as a refuge – or the importance of libraries and cultural spaces in developing readers.

The event will feature the special collaboration of the translator Mark Gamal, the journalist's moderation Zoubaida Fathi, from the National Broadcasting and Television Company (SNRT), and the participation of the students from Spanish College of Rabat.
