The Tres Culturas Foundation and the Institut Français de Séville, in collaboration with AdN Alianza de Novelas, are organising a presentation of the work of one of the most prominent French authors, Lola Lafon, on 26 September at 7:30 p.m.
During the month of September, the European Days of Jewish Culture are held in more than 30 countries, with the aim of raising awareness of the cultural and historical heritage of the Jewish people. It is a joint initiative of the European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture (AEPJ), the European Council of Jewish Communities, B'nai B'rith Europe and the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters.
The enhancement of the value of the Jewish legacy in its cultural and historical dimension is one of the objectives that we at Fundación Tres Culturas consider essential.
Within this programme, on Tuesday 26 September, we will welcome the French writer Lola Lafon, an essential voice in the current European scene, to present her latest novel, When you listen to this song (AdN Novel), in the company of university professor and writer Antonio Molina Flores.
As The little communist who never smiled, dedicated to Nadia Comăneci, and Mary, Patty, Mercy, on Patricia Hearts, Lola Lafon signs When you listen to this song, a third biographical novel, this time dedicated to Anne Frank, with which he recovers the true voice of history's most famous teenager.
To write it, Lafon spent a night at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, in the famous annex where the family hid for two years before they were betrayed and deported.
