Filmmakers who face new challenges such as directing a film in a country governed by the strictest interpretation of Islam. Or who insist on showing intergenerational personal conflicts that are usually relegated to the domestic sphere. Filmmakers who look family tragedies in the face or who dare to speak of secularism and freedoms in a traditional environment where censorship reigns.

These are the proposals for the March cycle of Tuesday Cinema. And they are all the work of women filmmakers. Arab women filmmakers who manage to maintain the vanguard of a cinematography that is becoming more and more important, thanks in large part to them.

From the revelation (including controversy) of the Saudi cinema of The green bicycle to a new example of the most important Arab cinema, Egyptian cinema; to North African films (Algerian and Tunisian, in particular) that have won numerous awards.

A women's cycle to illustrate with Arab cinema the month in which International Working Women's Day is celebrated.
