Andalusian cinema, produced in Andalusia or made by creators trained in our land, is one of the most representative in the current Spanish film scene, whose margins it has managed to leave to take a more central position. This is the result of serious work, carried out over the years, of a continuous effort that has borne fruit recognised by both the public and the critics.
At the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo, on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Andalusia, we are dedicating the cycle Tuesday Cinema of the month of February to Andalusian audiovisual production, a prestigious cinema, awarded nationally and internationally. We will show some of the work of different authors, dealing with different themes and with different approaches, but always with quality as a distinctive feature, as attested by the nominations and awards received.
From the revision of classic works such as The Pilgrim factorWe'll move on to films with an important social charge such as Me, too o Dog's headbringing us closer to the absurdist humour of Chiqui Carabante and his 12+1, a metaphysical comedy.
