The Foundation will dedicate its Martes Cine cycle to exploring the relationship between cinema, memory and identity through the feature film ‘Una quinta portuguesa’, a film starring Manolo Solo alongside Maria de Medeiros, and three documentaries that retell stories, voices and legacies that form part of our shared heritage.
Under the title ‘Cinema and Memory’, the programming proposes four very different approaches to that construction of memory: a beloved and close actor and musician who leaves us his legacy; the recent history of Spanish cinema through the extraordinary memory of Fernando Méndez-Leite; the search for the traces that explain the historical identity of Andalusia; and the recovery of the African presence and of black slavery in Spain and Portugal.
Four projections and four ways to ask ourselves what we retain, what we forget and how we transmit our memory to the next generations.

La Fundación Tres Culturas inaugura Martes Cine de octubre rindiendo homenaje al actor y músico Manolo Solo con un sencillo y sentido acto en el que cineastas, músicos y público lo recordaremos con la emoción, el respeto y el cariño que este artista se merece.
