Within the framework of the Decade to Recognise the Descendants of the African Diaspora launched by the UN in 2015, thus promoting a global commitment to this community, the Fundación Tres Culturas offers a cycle dedicated to this theme. On this occasion, we intend to focus on the African migration crisis and reflect on the critical nature of the interactions and transformations that people of African descent experience in their diaspora, particularly in the European context.
The Fundación Tres Culturas continues to demonstrate its commitment to social justice, the promotion of human rights and respect for cultural diversity.

Synopsis
Istanbul has always been a place of passage for merchants and world travellers. Today, for migrants from Africa and the Middle East, it is the gateway to the European homeland. Syrian and Iraqi refugees, cosmopolitan youth in search of a better future disillusioned by the Arab Spring, clandestine black Africans, all come together in a small but lively space: the call shops, from where they can contact their countries of origin.
