A young woman is awakened by a noise she is unable to identify. She soon discovers that she is not alone in the darkness of the night that envelops her.

Directed by Margarida Cardoso. Portugal, 2004, 120 minutes. The film will be presented by Lidia Jorge, author of the book on which the film is based.

Synopsis:

Novel by Portuguese author Lidia Jorge, made into a film in 2004 by Margarida Cardoso. At the end of the 1960s, the Portuguese are making their last colonial war dead end in Mozambique. Evita, a beautiful, impulsive young Portuguese woman, arrives in Mozambique to marry Luis, a soldier of the colonial army. When Luis has to go to war, Evita is left alone. Strolling through the city, she discovers a new way of life and shows an unusual freedom for the time.
