Serge, a French truck driver who travels periodically between France and Africa, accepts a proposal to smuggle illegal goods and earn extra money. Serge has a peculiar and passionate relationship with Sarah (Lubna Azabal), a young Moroccan woman who must decide in a few days whether she wants to go to Canada to live with her brother or stay in her city. On the other hand, there is also Saïd (Mohamed Hamaidi), a friend of both of them, who dreams of reaching Europe by crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.
