Synopsis

After their wedding night, Zeinab is left alone because her husband emigrates clandestinely to Spain, in search of the opportunities denied to him in his small village in the north of Morocco. A few weeks later, Zeinab realises she is pregnant. Determined to wait for her husband, she resorts to an ancient white magic practice of the rural Maghreb world and decides to 'put the foetus to sleep'. But time passes and her husband does not return...
