On the occasion of the next Seville Book Fair, the Fundación Tres Culturas offers in its April programme a series of films based on literary works or that make known the existence, in this case, of a poetess unknown to the general public. In addition, this cycle coincides with the Three Festivals, voices of the Mediterraneanorganised in the framework of the programme Alqantara: bridges for dialogue and coexistenceFrom 28 to 30 April in Granada.
In our cinematographic proposal for this month, literature and cinema go hand in hand with stories that will not leave us indifferent. Synopsis
Younes tiene 9 años cuando su padre se queda arruinado y decide confiar el niño a su hermano, un farmacéutico integrado en la comunidad occidental de Orán. Ahora, el nuevo nombre de Younes es Jonas, y crece entre jóvenes colonos de los que se hace amigo inseparable. Descubrirá con ellos las alegrías de una existencia privilegiada que ni la Segunda Guerra Mundial ni las convulsiones de un nacionalismo árabe en plena expansión pueden perturbar.
