Cycle 'Women Filmmakers in Egyptian Cinema Today'.

The Fundación Tres Culturas is once again collaborating with Casa Árabe in its Tuesday Cinema programme. Once again, we are once again focusing our attention on Egypt, the most veteran of the Arab film industries and undoubtedly the most prestigious, which on this occasion offers us productions that are a reflection of new trends.

This cycle - originally programmed by Casa Árabe, which has also been in charge of translating and subtitling the films proposed by the National Film Centre in Cairo - is a wonderful sample of Egyptian cinema, in constant renovation and an inescapable reference when it comes to looking at the horizon of Arab cinema.

The three films selected to showcase current Egyptian productions have been directed by women, reflecting the current evolution of the seventh art in the Middle East and North Africa region, where an increasing number of women are now behind the camera, either as screenwriters or directors.
