    20:30 - 22:00

The relationship between literature and cinema is forged from the very moment of the appearance of cinema.

Two narrative forms that share their intention to tell stories, one through words, the other also using images. Cinema has received characters, stories, plots, forms and styles from literature and, in turn, exerts an aesthetic influence on contemporary literary works, with respect to the traditional concept of literature.

To celebrate Book Day on 23 April, the Foundation is dedicating this month's two screenings to the symbiotic relationship between cinema and literature.

Tuesday, 11 April, 20.30 h.

Zenobia's worlds. Sergio Crespo. Spain, 2022, 72 min.

Zenobia Camprubí Aymar has gone down in history as the life companion, wife and collaborator of the Mogueran poet and Nobel Prize winner Juan Ramón Jiménez. However, she is much less well known as an intellectual woman, businesswoman, translator, university lecturer and publisher, among other of her many facets.

The feature-length documentary is inspired by one of the many trips Zenobia made around Andalusia while she was living in La Rábida (Huelva). Through interviews, photographs and documents written in her own handwriting, the life and work of Zenobia Camprubí is revealed. It is also complemented by the digital animation of the Huelva illustrator Pablo Vallejo, who takes the viewer on a real virtual walk through the Andalusia that Zenobia knew and which gives dynamism to the documentary.
