Film series dedicated to literature
On the occasion of Book Day, the Fundación Tres Culturas presents a film series dedicated to literature. Through film, we will travel through different geographies and traditions, from the Caribbean to Europe and Africa, with the sea as the common thread. This special programme offers a unique look at the relationship between cinema and literature, exploring stories inspired by great works and universal characters.

LORCA IN HAVANA: Preview in Seville
Presentation by its directors, José Antonio Torres and Antonio Manuel Rodríguez.

Synopsis: A documentary about Federico García Lorca's trip to Cuba in 1930. We discover his imprint on the island's music, poetry, dramatic scene and current narrative.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film's directors, Lourdes Palacios, journalist and president of ASECAN (Andalusian Association of Film Writers), and the singer and composer Roko, co-interpreter of the original music.
This activity is subsidised by the Junta de Andalucía, within the framework of the subsidy granted by the Consejería de la Presidencia, Interior, Diálogo Social y Simplificación Administrativa (Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification).
