There is always time tells the story of Héctor, who moves from his Basque village to the home of his only son, with whom he has a very distant relationship. Héctor will manage to overcome this big change with the help of his daughter-in-law Laura, who pushes him to reconcile with his son, and his grandson Bruno, who discovers in his grandfather's values the courage to confront the boys who bully him at school. In return, he will help him to win Clara, a woman of vitality who makes Héctor trust in love again.

Released in May 2010, this is Diego's first feature film as a screenwriter and director and has won several awards, such as the Audience Award and the "Key of Freedom" from the Penal de Huelva, at the 35th edition of the Ibero-American Film Festival.

At the end of 2015 Ana Rosa Diego premiered Open river, which shows the power of dance as therapy for women who have suffered gender-based violence, and is currently working on several projects, including writing the feature-length fiction film Skin sheddingco-written with Mercedes M. del Río.

Since 2017, both have collaborated in the creation of several short films committed to issues such as gender violence or youth, with which they have won numerous awards and recognitions.
