Tuesday Cinema Tuesdays in February. Festival Nuevo Cine Andaluz de Casares - ‘All you need is love’ and ‘Caja de resistencia’.’

Details

The Fundación Tres Culturas, in its eagerness to support Andalusian cinema and the festivals that take place in our community, will screen on Tuesdays in February the award-winning films from the last edition of the New Andalusian Film Festival.

This event is the meeting point where all the outstanding works on the Andalusian film scene are brought together, in various disciplines: short express shorts, short films, feature-length documentaries, feature-length fiction films, adult education, youth education, photography, and much more.

The festival takes place in Casares (Malaga), a film stage for a meeting dedicated to the most genuine and independent seventh art in a town with as much history as Casares, the birthplace of Blas Infante, who understood culture as a liberating agent for the people.

⚠️REMINDER: During the month of February the screenings will start at 19:30h.

🎬 ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

Daniel Ruz, Spain, 2025, 14 minutes

Synopsis: ‘All You Need Is Love’ captures the essence of the struggle for female personal freedom and individual expression in a context of oppression, all seen through the lens of a deep and complex friendship.

Award for the best short film.

Candidate for the Goya Awards 2026.

🎬 RESISTANCE BOX

Alejandro Alvarado, Concha Barquero, Spain, 2024, 99 min.

Synopsis: After his death, Fernando Ruiz Vergara left dozens of film sketches that he was never able to make. The Andalusian filmmaker had only directed one documentary, Rocío, heartbreaking and fascinating, cursed after its judicial censorship in the early years of democracy in Spain. Since then, his projects have remained dormant in the imagination and in desire. In Caja de resistencia, those dreamt projects are fabulated in order to bring them to the cinema from the present, as a gesture of resistance.

Sara Sánchez and José M. Rodríguez, members of the production company Azhar Media, will be present.
