As every February, coinciding with the celebration of the Day of Andalusia, the Three Cultures Foundation presents its traditional Andalusian film season, showing some of the works awarded by the Andalusian Film Writers' Association -Asecan- in its 37th edition, as well as other unpublished works by Andalusian filmmakers.
On Tuesdays 4, 11, 18 and 25, we will screen fiction films, documentaries and short films that are just a small sample of the vast production that our filmmakers release each year on the screens.
Tuesday, 11 February, 20.30 h.
Premiere of the documentary The last oasis. Ricardo Gamaza. Spain, 2025, 29 min.
Carlos Romero, a nature photographer, decides to find out what is the new destination of the birdlife that is gradually stopping coming to the most emblematic National Park in Andalusia and one of the most important wetlands in Europe, Doñana. As they follow the birds, they end up finding the new ecosystem they are visiting very close by: the Seville rice fields in La Puebla del Río and Isla Mayor. There he will take new photographs, but he will also learn about the history of this humanised stadium created from nothing a century ago, with a glimpse of its people.
The premiere of this documentary will be attended by its director, Ricardo Gamaza, and the photographer, Carlos Romero.
