Tuesday Cinema Tuesday in November dedicated to Moroccan productions: 'Burning Casablanca'.

Details

Date:
26 November 2024
Time:
20:30 - 22:00

Coinciding with the celebration of the Morocco in Three Cultures programme, in November the Foundation is offering a cycle dedicated to Moroccan cinema, an industry whose international recognition has been growing in recent decades, going from being a mere stage thanks to its beautiful landscapes and light, to being a prolific country in terms of its cinematographic production and heterogeneity.

Throughout the month of November, we will be screening four successful local films that reflect the tastes of the majority of Moroccans, first consumed in large cinemas and for the last few years in the comfort of the home via large platforms that allow us to establish a fairly accurate picture of Moroccan society.

Tuesday, 26th November, 20.30 h.

Burning Casablanca. Ismaël El Iraki. Morocco-France-Qatar, 2021, 60 min.

In collaboration with the French Institute of Seville.

Burning Casablanca tells the story of Rajae, played by singer Khansa Batma, and former rock star Larsen, played by Ahmed Hammoud. Two souls who begin a catharsis in the midst of a strange relationship.
