During the month of June, the Fundación Tres Culturas dedicates its film programme to refugees and the LGTBI collective as part of this institution's commitment to combat discrimination against any collective and in any of its manifestations.

Through the story of Husein, a hairdresser who leads a double life, and Mahmoud, founder of the LGBTI movement in Syria, this documentary narrates the experiences of a group of gay Syrian refugees who set up their own beauty pageant in Istanbul. Selected at prestigious festivals such as Seville and IDFA, "Mr. Gay Syria" offers an unusual perspective on what it is like to be gay in a country like Syria.
