During the second half of September, the Fundación Tres Culturas has programmed two screenings in collaboration with the Festival 'Cultura con orgullo', the second of which will focus on the documentary film The homosexual memorydirected by Espino Diéguez (Spain, 2019, 70 minutes).
Synopsis
This production rescues from oblivion the life experiences of those Andalusians who made it possible for homosexuality to cease to be persecuted by the Franco regime. The filming took place in Seville, Malaga, Huelva, Torremolinos, Madrid and Barcelona (in the latter city, it was filmed in the Modelo prison, where dozens of people were imprisoned for their sexual condition).
In addition to first-person testimonies, there are also testimonies from researchers, historians, writers and psychologists, and activists such as Jordi Petit and María Giralt, precursors of initiatives in defence of LGTBI groups, and well-known faces such as Minister Grande-Marlaska.
The documentary, recorded in 4K, was executive produced by Ricardo Medina, directed and scripted by Espino Diéguez, directed by Rosendo Cumbreras and directed by Germán Crespo.
