The Fundación Tres Culturas joins the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Asociación de Escritoras y Escritores Cinematográficos de Andalucía, ASECAN, an organisation that brings together the majority of Andalusian film writers and critics. For this reason, and together with the celebration of Andalusia Day on 28 February, we will dedicate this month to the screening of the Andalusian films and documentaries awarded in the last edition of the annual ASECAN awards.
These awards, created in 1983, have been consolidated over the years to become a must-attend event that brings together the majority of Andalusian film society, recognising the most outstanding Andalusian audiovisual production of each year.
On the other hand, the Foundation would like to pay tribute to two Andalusians with close ties to cinema who have recently passed away: Juan Antonio Bermúdeza magnificent writer, poet and journalist, who was vice-president of the Andalusian Film Writers' Association (ASECAN) between 2010 and 2019 and in recent years has coordinated the Andalusian Panorama section of the Seville Film Festival; and Nale OntiverosShe was a communicator, cultural manager and blogger who developed studies on women and art in numerous media, and was head of production at Plano Katharsis, a production company dedicated to the production of investigative documentaries on cultural and social events.

The salt of life. Bernabé Bulnes. Spain, 2022, 70 minutes.
The process of harvesting salt in the salt flats basically consists of bringing salt water from the sea, depositing it in ponds and allowing time, with the action of the wind and the sun, to allow the salt to be harvested. In the same way, people have settled in the village of Las Salinas de Cabo de Gata and in the territories nowadays delimited by the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, and over time they have left a profitable legacy. These people and their activity are, we could say, the salt of life.
Life between two nights. Antonio Cuesta. Spain, 2022, 24 minutes.
Pepe and Jesús, father and son, live in a precarious situation that Pepe tries to overcome with odd jobs. Jesús has cerebral palsy. One summer morning, Pepe has to work, but no one is available to look after Jesús.
The screening will be attended by the two directors of these films.
Tickets available from 15 February at the following address link.
This activity is subsidised by the Junta de Andalucía, within the framework of the subsidy granted by the Consejería de la Presidencia, Interior, Diálogo Social y Simplificación Administrativa (Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification).
