The Fundación Tres Culturas, in collaboration with the publishing house Cabaret Voltaire, is organising this conversation with a living memory of international Tangiers, the Moroccan writer and painter of Rifian origin Mohamed Mrabet. Coinciding with the publication of LemonThe author will talk with Farid Othman-Bentria Ramos, intercultural coordinator and writer, about his second novel, hitherto unpublished in Spanish (and like his twelve other works, a collaboration between Mrabet and the American Paul Bowles).

Self-taught and illiterate, Mrabet frequented Tangiers with writers such as William Burroughs, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams and Allen Ginsberg. The city had become a magnet for intellectuals and artists, including those of the Beat Generation. But it was the Bowles couple who established a fruitful relationship with him through the oral accounts that Mrabet dictated to Paul.

Activity included in the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Tres con libros and in the month of Morocco.

Book sale and book signing after the presentation.

Free admission with prior reservation.
