The Fundación Tres Culturas and Casa Árabe are presenting My Kingdom Is of This World (Mamlakati min hada al-alam) by Murid Barguti, a major figure in contemporary Palestinian literature. It will be premiered at 5:00 p.m. on Casa Árabe's YouTube channel, where the author will be in conversation with translator and editor Luis Miguel Cañada.
This anthology published by 'Ediciones del Oriente y del Mediterráneo' and selected with the author's collaboration, brings together more than fifty poems published between 1980 and 2018, offering an almost complete overview of his production. "A work that aspires to create beauty with the word, that seeks to accompany, console, denounce, protest; to cry out and bear witness to love for things great and small, often unnoticed, unfolding the secrets of the earth" (from the presentation by Luis Miguel Cañada).
