On 24 November at 7 p.m., the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo, with the collaboration of the publishing house Impedimenta, presents the marvellous book '.The Journey'.one of the most beautiful children's albums of the year, by the Italian illustrator and graphic designer Francesca Sannawhich has already received the Society of Illustrators of New York Award in 2015 and the Llibreter Prize in 2016, an extremely valuable distinction awarded by the booksellers of Barcelona.
The Journey is a book about how to a family must escape the horrors of war How do you explain it to a child? Francesca Sanna does it in a spectacular way with beautiful images in which children will discover the adventure through the colours and the liveliness of her illustrations.
During the presentation, which will be dedicated to family audiences, the author will narrate the story in English, which will be translated into Spanish, while the images of the book pass before our eyes, on large screens so as not to lose any detail, and accompanied by music.
And to end the evening, each of the guests will take home a little bird that we will build together with Francesca, with the aim of symbolising freedom and the absence of frontiers.
