The Fundación Tres Culturas organised within the framework of the CREAMOS project the screening of the animated short film entitled Festinby the author Abdellatif Elayaadi. This film has been awarded first prize in the annual Grand Prix Aicha Animation competition, which brings together a multitude of young artists from Morocco and is a real springboard towards professionalisation for its winner. The prize money is combined with a training stay in France. This work opened the 13th edition of the International Animation Film Festival of Meknes (FICAM).
With a degree in comics from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan, he has been working in animated film since 2011, always adding a personal touch through the watercolour that he himself creates for the setting, having already participated in the 11th edition of FICAM. He has received several awards, including participation in the exchange programme for art students from Andalusia and Morocco promoted by the Fundación Tres Culturas as part of the CREAMOS project.
This presentation will be followed by a screening of the film Women without men, by Shirin Neshat, as part of the cycle Film and Literature.
