This roundtable, which counts with the collaboration of Real Instituto Elcano and that will be chaired by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar magazine, will analyze the unilateral views held by the new US President, Donald Trumpon the state of the Middle East, the Mediterranean and his country's foreign policy with the participation of Carlota G. Encina and Jesús A. Núñez Villaverde.
Complex issues such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict (in which hesitations regarding the support or not to the two-state solution is currently on the spot), the fight against the radical Jihadism of Daesh, the apparently dead post-Arab springs democratisation processes or the role of the different actors of the region and interaction with their neighbours (especially Iran and the gulf countries) will be tackled.
