Details

From 2 to 5 July 2026, the Moroccan city of Nador will host the 9th edition of the Oriental Exhibition. Heritage and Fashion, an initiative driven by the Association of Young People of the Mediterranean (AJM) and the Agency for Development of the East, with the collaboration of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, among other entities. The meeting consolidates a space for cultural cooperation that highlights the shared heritage between Andalusia and Morocco through crafts, fashion, music and intercultural dialogue.

In this edition, the central theme will be the Conference ‘Jewellery between Morocco and Andalusia: Shared Memory and Timeless Craftsmanship’, which will bring together researchers, curators, collectors, and specialists from both countries to reflect on traditional jewellery as an expression of a shared history, techniques, and symbols on both sides of the Mediterranean. The Three Cultures Foundation actively participates in this meeting space, reaffirming its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of shared cultural heritage.

Alongside the academic programme, the Salon will offer extensive cultural and professional events, including an exhibition of Amazigh heritage jewellery, a solidarity showcase of crafts, fashion and local produce, training workshops for artisans and entrepreneurs, and the launch of the Innov’Action programme for young researchers.

One of the highlights will be the Artistic evening ‘Rhythms of Andalusia and Heartbeats of the Rif’, scheduled for Friday, 3rd July, at the Hotel Mercure Nador. The evening will bring together on stage the flamenco of Eva Piñero, with the collaboration of the Tres Culturas Foundation, and the music of the Nador group Boya Fusion, in a musical dialogue that symbolises the spirit of exchange and coexistence that inspires the Salon.

The Tres Culturas Foundation's collaboration in this initiative is part of its mission to strengthen ties between Andalusia and Morocco through projects that promote heritage, creativity, and understanding between societies. Participation in the Oriental Exhibition is a new opportunity to foster cultural cooperation networks, encourage exchange between professionals from both territories, and highlight the Mediterranean as a space for shared encounters and creation.
