South European International Model of United Nations (SEIMUN)

Details

  • Start: 21 April 2016
  • End: 25 April 2016

The Fundación Tres Culturas participates with the United Nations Students Association of Andalucía (UNSA Andalucía) in the organisation of the South European International Model of United Nations (SEIMUN). This event, which will take place in Seville from 21 to 24 April, will bring together more than 200 university students from more than 20 countries, with a significant presence of Andalusian and Sevillian participants.

SEIMUN is the first simulation of the UN to be held in the region of Andalusia. An international meeting of students from different countries who decide to spend a few days representing a particular state in a council of importance in international relations, assuming the role of diplomats, ambassadors and heads of state. This project is the brainchild of a group of Andalusian university students from almost all the universities, both public and private, in the Andalusian community.

SEIMUN was created with an international vocation and aims to put Andalusia on the map for many young talents who regularly attend this type of event. It also aims to be a benchmark in our country and in our community. The aim is to promote the qualities and aptitudes of the students participating in this congress, and at the same time, to promote the image of the Andalusian university on a global scale. The aim is to strengthen the union of this academic community and to offer its students the opportunity to attend this type of event without the need to leave Andalusia.
