Sephardic chants workshop

For the past 20 years, the European Days of Jewish Culture have been held in more than 30 countries throughout the month of September, with the aim of raising awareness of the cultural and historical heritage of the Jewish people.

Within the framework of the cycle that the Foundation dedicates to Sepharad during September, a series of activities have been programmed that highlight the richness of this culture so closely linked to our roots and vision of the world.

Under the heading Sepharad in the heart of MoroccoTres Culturas presents the work of Mara Aranda on the origins of Sepharad in this country through a workshop of Sephardic songs, a concert and an exhibition of instruments.

The workshop, scheduled for Tuesday 17 September, is based on the active participation of the participants. Mara Aranda, the most international interpreter of Spanish Sephardic music, contextualises the songs, teaching the rhythm and lyrics so that all participants can play and sing along.
