Three with books at home: Now she speaks

Details

  • Start: 30 April 2020
  • End: 27 May 2020

In its desire to make these days more enjoyable for its public, the Fundación Tres Culturas invites you to participate in the new reading proposed by the Tres con libros club, now from home and totally online, with the collaboration of Spanish publishers and authors.

How does this new format work?

Tres Culturas proposes a book to read and, afterwards, a book club session will be held live on Instagram to collect questions that will be asked to the author in a subsequent meeting.

On this occasion, Tres Culturas, in collaboration with the publishing house Destino, has chosen a writer who is a point of reference for our book club: the Catalan writer born in Morocco. Najat El Hachmi. With his essay They have always spoken for uspublished by Destino, has launched a testimony that was long overdue in Spain. A short text in which the author, who became known more than ten years ago after winning the Ramon Llull prize with The last patriarchThe book dismantles the patriarchy, with lucidity and courage, to defend freedom and to talk about feminism and identity.

How do we do it? We select a book that we invite you to read. A few weeks later we will hold a book club session live on Instagram to agree on the questions we want to ask the author. Finally, we will have a live conversation with the author in which we will ask her those questions.

What do you need to participate?

  1. Acquisition of the book in ebook format.
  2. Have an Instagram account.
