Tres Culturas at the 38th Granada Book Fair

The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo (Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation) will once again be taking part in the 38th^th edition of the Granada Book Fair (May 10^th-19^th) with a speech by Italian philosopher Nuccio Ordine entitled In praise of futility (Tribute to uselessness) on Saturday the 11^th of May.

It's worth remembering that last year, coinciding with the Fair, the Foundation celebrated the second edition of Tres Festival, Voices of the Mediterranean in Granada. A biennial date with Mediterranean literature that gathered around twenty authors from 16 countries. The third edition, preparations for which are already underway, will be held in 2020.

Nuccio Ordine is a humanist, philosopher and expert in Italian literature known particularly for his studies on the Renaissance and on Giordano Bruno. In Spain he became known a few years ago when Acantilado publishing house published The usefulness of the useless (The use of the useless) and Classics for life: an ideal little library (Classics for life: an ideal little library). During his appearance, he will stress the importance of culture and the classics.
