The Fundación Tres Culturas collaborates with the 21st edition of the Seville European Film Festival by making possible the screening of the film La mer au loin, by Moroccan director Saïd Hamich, and the presence of the leading actor, Ayoub Gretâa.
The film, which premiered in May of this year in the programme of the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Queer Palm, will be screened at the SEFF on 9 November, in a first screening for the press; 14 November, in an official presentation with a discussion with the actor; and, finally, on 16 November.

Premiered at the Cannes Critics' Week, this film is set in Marseilles in the 1990s. Nour, a young Maghrebi, arrives there illegally to try his luck. He struggles to survive, between melancholy and the desire to party, until he meets an unconventional couple who change everything. Three-dimensional characters and a melodious mise-en-scène come together in this personal combination of social cinema and melodrama. French-Moroccan director Saïd Hamich Benlarbi uses an intense use of colour to capture the emotions of this luminous journey, full of serendipitous crossroads.
This collaboration is in line with the objective of promoting cultural relations between Spain and Morocco and of making the most up-to-date Moroccan cinema known.
