The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo is once again participating in the 38th Granada Book Fair (from 10 to 19 May) with a lecture by the Italian philosopher Nuccio Ordine, on Saturday 11 May at 19:00, entitled In praise of futility.
It is worth remembering that last year, coinciding with the Fair, the Foundation held in Granada the second edition of the Three Festivals, voices of the Mediterranean. A biennial event with Mediterranean literature that brought together some twenty authors from 16 countries. The third edition, which is already in the works, will take place in 2020.
Nuccio Ordine is a humanist, philosopher and expert in Italian literature known above all for his studies on the Renaissance and Giordano Bruno. He became known in Spain a few years ago, when the publishing house Acantilado published The usefulness of the useless y Classics for life: an ideal little library. In his speech he will stress the importance of culture and the classics.
