The Fundación Tres Culturas and the Centro Andaluz de las Letras are organising the presentation of the latest work by the Moroccan poet Mohammed Bennís, Book of love (e.d.a.), on 2 June at 19.00 in the Activities Tent, as part of the Málaga Book Fair 2017 programme. The poet will be accompanied by José Luis Reina Palazón, poet and translator, and Federico Arbós, Arabist and translator.

With this presentation, Tres Culturas is present at the Malaga Book Fair with one of the most outstanding representatives of living, current, radically contemporary Arab poetry, as his translator, Federico Arbós, states in the prologue.

About the author:

Mohammed Bennis (Fez, 1948) is a poet, literary critic and professor of contemporary Arabic literature at the Mohammed V University in Rabat. He has been president of the Maison de la Poésie du Maroc and director of the publishing house Dâr Tûbkâl. He was a contributor to the magazine Al-Zaqâfa al-Xadîda (New Culture)whose ten years of life marked a decade of literature and culture in Morocco. He has published fourteen books of poems, several of which have been translated into French, English and Italian. Of particular note are Before the word (1969), Towards your vertical voice (1980) y Gift of emptiness (1992).
