The Three Cultures Foundation and the Essaouira Mogador Association are organising the thirteenth edition of the Festival of the Atlantic Andalusias in the Moroccan city of Essaouira, from 27 to 29 October 2016.
On this occasion, the festival has focused on young people who are immersed in our Jewish-Muslim heritage, without forgetting lovers of the great representatives of Andalusian music.
Andalucías Atlánticas is also a great opportunity to experience a 'Fiesta' in the beautiful city of Essaouira, which for a weekend will be inspired by and breathe the scent of Andalusia.
Within a programme that brings together a cast of artists from various parts of the world to show their cultural richness and the importance of the Andalusian heritage in this area, is the dancer and choreographer Rosario ToledoShe will be accompanied by her group.
On stage in Essaouira they will present the show Flamenco in a painting with a repertoire based on traditional Andalusian flamenco songs and dances, ranging from the most primitive palos, such as those derived from the branches of the soleá or toná, to the other, more joyful and festive side of flamenco, such as the branches of the cantiñas or tangos, as well as the cantes de ida y vuelta brought from the Americas.
