Diversity is considered a fundamental element of cultural heritage on all five continents and, according to UNESCO, "it is as necessary to the human race as biological diversity is to living organisms".

Valuing coexistence and interaction in harmony and mutual respect between different cultures that coexist in the same place and at the same time is one of the objectives of the Tres Culturas Foundation. For this reason, we are dedicating the month of May to diversity, with a programme of activities including a concert by the Zalema group.

Formed in Baza (Grenade) at the end of 2015 with the intention of strengthening the common links between different cultures, Zalema uses flamenco as a medium, proposing a repertoire based mainly on arrangements based on traditional Andalusian themes of Sephardic, Arabic and Christian origin, both past and present.

Literature and music merge. The structures of flamenco and its styles (tangos, soleá por bulerías, farrucas, tanguillos, bulerías, abandolaos, galeras, tientos...) are joined by romans lyriques or romans de frontière, chants de mariage, moaxajas andalous, berceuses, cantigas de Alfonso X el Sabio, zarabandas...... which are part of our heritage, presenting themselves under a unifying approach far from the concept of "purism" and which understands our music as a gift of "impurity", the offspring of the best family, the mysticism.

Cette formation est composée de :

Chant : Raquel Moreno

Guitare : Antonio "Capote"

Clarinette : Miguel Angel Ruiz

Percussions : Alberto Maezo
